What is AIDA Funnel Model?

It is a model used in marketing that describes the steps to be followed by a customer in the process of buying a product.

This is a buying funnel where buyers come and go every step of the way, and the sales team helps them make the final purchase.

The AIDA model was introduced at the end of the 19th century. It has been reviewed and modified several times over the years in marketing and public relations.

The AIDA model is based on four individual steps that attract interested parties when making decisions about a product or service.

  1. Attention/Awareness: Firstly, The product must catch the eye of the consumer. This can be done through advertisements.
  2. Interest: Generate interest in the benefits of your product or service, and enough interest to encourage the buyer to begin further research.
  3. Desire: If interest in the product is generated, it is the seller’s job to convince the customer that they want to own the product. Ideally, advertising or the product itself creates the desire to buy.
  4. Action/CTA: Move the buyer to interact with your company and take the next step, which should be an action. It can be making a purchase, subscribing to a newsletter, or whatever you want from your customer.

Example: In the case of online shops, it would end up being the shopping cart process, in which a customer leads to a conversion.
